Skin Day Spa is blending organic spa treatments with medical grade services for a comprehensive approach to beauty and wellness. Organic skincare routines can support skin health after chemical peels.
VI Peel is a medical grade chemical peel, in fact the #1 chemical peel in the industry.
The VI Peel exfoliates the damaged outer layer of your skin, revealing smoother, brighter, and more youthful-looking skin underneath.
It is safe for all skin types and tones.
It is also the only peel that is safe for the delicate eye area.
A VI Peel penetrates the epidermis (outer layer) and into the papillary dermis (upper middle layer) of the skin.
This depth allows for significant exfoliation and collagen stimulation to reveal fresh, more youthful skin with minimal downtime.
You are not a condidate for a VI Peel if any of the following apply to you:
The VI Peel experience includes a quick, relatively painless application of the customized peel solution, followed by a few days of peeling and/or flaking as the skin heals.
Most patients feel slight tingling during the 30-minute procedure and then experience peeling typically on days 3-5.
It is normal to experience mild itching as the skin undergoes exfoliation and healing. A 1% hydrocortisone cream is provided in the post peel homecare kit that can be used to relieve any discomfort.
After 7 days, new, brighter skin is revealed.
Post-peel care with a provided homecare kit and daily sunscreen is essential to protect the skin and optimize results.
VI Peel's core formula contains a propietary blend of acids, each with an active percentage of <15%. The blend consists of retinoic acid (Vit A), salicylic acid, phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), and ascorbic acid (Vit C).

The biggest misconception with any chemical peel is that you will always have heavy peeling. Everything from light flaking and peeling to sheet peeling is normal. There will always be cellular turnover, improvements in the texture, tone and overall appearance of the skin whether or not peeling occurs. More visible peeling does not equal greater results.
Your skin will peel as much as your skin needs to peel!
Yes! All VI Peel treatments are safe and effective for ALL skin tones. Inclusivity is central to our brand and mission.
Everyone's skin is a little different, and the number of peels needed for desired results varies from person to person, and from skin condition to skin condition. While just a single peel will achieve skin rejuvenation (think less pigment, smoother skin texture, and brighter, glowier skin overall), in general, we recommend a series of 3-6 peels for optimal results.
Most treatments are safe for your skin after 4-5 weeks. Your skin must be completely healed and not peeling.
Purging or experiencing mild acne breakouts after getting a VI Peel is completely normal. This type of acne purging can happen after any exfoliation treatment, as the treatment increases cellular turnover, not only lifting dead skin cells but also allowing for any congestion that is trapped beneath the skin to come to the surface. It's important to remember that your acne may seem to get worse before getting better, and you may need multiple VI Peels to resolve your acne. Purging of the skin will reduce with subsequent peels as congested pores become cleared. You must be patient with the process and follow a proper home skincare regimen.
In general, you can expect to start peeling on or around day three and peel for about three to four days afterward. Each person's peeling experience is a little different, and some may peel for more or fewer days, depending on the condition of the skin. If this is your first VI Peel, it is normal to peel for a longer period of time.
There are many reasons why you may not see the peeling. Even if you can't see something with the naked eye, the VI Peel is still working for your skin and exfoliating at the cellular level to brighten and improve your skin's appearance.
NO! Do not pull back on the skin that is shedding. Do not scrub your face or use a washcloth. Do not use hot water to wash your face. It is recommended to use a clean, small cuticle scissor to trim the exfoliating skin. You can wash your face gently with your finger tips to help remove the hanging skin but be sure to not rub excessively. After washing your face, be sure to apply the Post Treatment Repair Cream or Aquaphor if very dry. Do not forget to apply the SPF 50+ to protect the skin during and after the exfoliation process.
Celebritites often seek treatments like VI Peels to maintain a youthful, radiant complexion with minimal downtime.
