WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE AFTER THE SILKPEEL PROCEDURE?
There is no down time. You may apply makeup (recommend GloMinerals) and return to activities immediately. The skin may be pink for an hour after a treatment. You may have some flaking and slight peeling after the treatment. SPF protection should be used daily. Patients who are prone to cold sores may need to take medication on treatment day to prevent an outbreak. Any type of exfoliation can stimulate a cold sore if you have ever had an outbreak in your lifetime.
