SkinPen’s sterile microneedles pierce the skin, increasing blood flow. Immune cells work to clean and disinfect the area, setting the stage for repair. This stage helps prepare the skin to rebuild with fresh, healthy cells.
Before treatment Your skin will be cleansed and topical anesthetic containing tetracaine and lidocaine will be applied to ensure maximum comfort throughout the treatment.

After treatment Most patients notice slight redness in the treated area, similar to a sunburn. Additional common treatment responses include dryness, tightness, and peeling. This is normal and should subside within 24 to 72 hours. Makeup and sunscreen may be applied 24 hours after treatment.
